Like many nonprofits, CADF has faced some hefty challenges during the past two years. Overcoming these challenges made our June 4 Community Dental Day even more gratifying. For the first time in nearly three years, 47 volunteers–dentists, hygienists, dental assistants and office staff–gathered at Round Rock Dental Group to provide a day of charitable dental care to nearly 100 patients. Thank you Round Rock Dental Group for hosting the event and opening your office and your heart to CADF and its patients.
CADF would like to thank all of its volunteers for making the event possible and to CADF Board Member, Dr. Kent Macaulay for leading the effort. Dr. Macaulay’s dedication and commitment to charitable dental care is unmatched and the Community Dental Day would not have been possible without his vision and hard work. We’d also like to shout out our entire Board, including Alan Moore, DDS, Sergio Escobar, DDS, Annalisa Somers Heck, DDS and Kavin Kelp, DDS for volunteering at the event.
Shout-outs are also in order for Board Member Becky Walker with Wealth Strategies for sponsoring breakfast and lunch for volunteers and Board Member Jennifer Aaron with First Citizens Bank for supplying the coffee!
Finally, CADF would like to thank Board Member Sergio Escobar, DDS for donating supplies, TDA Smiles Foundation for allowing us to use their scheduling system to make appointments for our patients and the Texas Dental Association for awarding CADF an Access to Care grant in 2021 to support the event.
